awesome run

Today a friend showed me a whole new world of running: the skyline track outside of Northland, where I am living at the moment. The trail starts out near the Karori Cemetery and then heads into a beautiful pine tree forest. From there, it climbs to the skyline (as one would expect from the trail's name) and then follows the skyline as far as the eye can see. You can go in any direction along dirt roads and trails through lush grass, gorse, and small bush. From the right angle, you can see the South Island in the distance, the many wind turbines that dot the Wellington horizon, and a beach that looks like it could be within running distance. Next time I need to bring my camera!
